Company Background - Boxmore commenced operations in South Africa in 1996 on a greenfield site, located in Harrismith, which is midway between the major centers of Johannesburg and Durban.
The company uses the latest technology in injection moulding and bottle blowing. The majority of our installed injection moulding equipment has been supplied by Husky including three Husky based Kortec multi-layer machines.
Boxmore uses only resin approved by Coca-Cola and other global brands and sources this resin both locally and internationally. Locally resin is supplied by Hosaf in Durban and imported resin is sourced from SKYPET amongst other first class producers of PET. Both resins have typical IV’s of 0.82 enabling use in a broad range of beverage applications.
The company also blows and labels a range of standard and proprietary bottles, using Sidel stretch blow moulding equipment, Krones labelers, and fully automated palletisers.
In addition to the main factory in Harrismith, the company has subsidiary operations in Cape Town (injection moulding & bottle blowing) and in Mauritius (preform manufacture only). Recently Boxmore has successfully established three on site blowing operations producing bottles for our customers within their factories.
The location of our manufacturing operations enables Boxmore to supply both the South African and African markets and qualifies under a number of region trade groups including SADC ( South Africa & Mauritius ) as well as COI & COMESA ( Mauritius only ).
Exports constitute a significant portion of Boxmore’s sales with sales to 26 African countries. As such the company has the products & skills to deliver product across the globe. Our export boxes are tailored to both optimize units / container and protect our product from the rigorous of transportation.
The pre-forms are produced in a range of standard colours or customized to specific requirements. From tints to opaque, Boxmore can match existing colour provided order quantities are sufficient.
Boxmore also provides technical support for customers. From assisting customers in designing bottles or selecting appropriate pre-forms to providing technical advice and on-site assistance in blowing our pre-forms, Boxmore has the experience to turn your PET requirements into reality.

PET is a high technology plastic polymer, giving excellent performance and product design flexibility. It is also well suited to recycling, where used PET bottles can be recycled into staple fibre for a variety of applications. Resin used is sourced from world class manufacturers, producing to the standards of major multinational beverage companies.
